Dumpster Rental in Warren

Roll-off dumpsters across Warren: ranch-house cleanouts, garage tear-downs and job sites from 8 Mile to 14 Mile.

Warren is Michigan’s third-largest city and almost all of it is post-war housing: brick ranches and bungalows on decent-sized lots, many now getting their first big renovation or a full cleanout between owners. That is ideal dumpster territory: the driveways are long, the streets are wide, and a 20-yard fits almost anywhere.

We cover all of Warren from 8 Mile up to 14 Mile, Dequindre to Hayes. It is about thirteen miles from downtown Detroit via I-75 and I-696 or Mound Road, so same-day delivery is normal when you call early. Contractors around the GM Tech Center and the Van Dyke industrial corridor get scheduled swaps.

Do I need a permit in Warren?

Warren publishes no dumpster or roll-off permit, for private property or for the street: we searched the City Code (Supp. 102, through October 2025) for dumpster, roll-off, temporary container and right-of-way obstruction and found none. The general rules still apply. Sec. 34-58 says lumber, brick and similar materials may not be left on a sidewalk after sunset without written permission, Sec. 34-2 bars litter and dirt from the streets, and Sec. 34-8 makes a violation a civil infraction with a fine of $100 to $1,000. The zoning rules on waste receptacles (Sec. 4.12, not in the front yard; Sec. 4D.40, screening) are written for permanent bins, not a container that is there for a week. Almost every Warren driveway is long enough that the question never comes up; if yours is not, we say so rather than guess, and the Sanitation Division on (586) 775-1400 is the office to ask.

FAQ

Warren dumpster rental questions

  • Is a permit needed for a dumpster in Warren?
Warren publishes no dumpster permit for a driveway or the street. Its code bars building materials left on a sidewalk after sunset without written permission (Sec. 34-58) and fines street litter $100 to $1,000, and most Warren drives are long enough that you never need the street.
  • How fast can you deliver to Warren?
Same-day when you call before noon; otherwise next morning. Warren is about thirteen miles from downtown Detroit up I-75 or Mound Road.
  • Which size for a Warren ranch-house cleanout?
A 20-yard almost every time. Add a 10-yard if there is concrete or a garage floor coming out; the City’s curbside pickup will not take concrete, bricks, shingles or building material, so it all has to go in the box.
  • Can you drop a dumpster at a Tech Center-area job site?
Yes, with scheduled swaps for ongoing work. Call (313) 397-0178 to set it up.
