Dumpster Rental in Grosse Pointe, MI
Dumpster Rental in Grosse Pointe
The Grosse Pointes (the City, Park, Farms, Woods and Shores) are big older homes on well-kept lots, and the jobs match: full kitchen and bath renovations, additions, roof replacements on large houses, and estate cleanouts. Owners here care about the driveway and the neighbours, so we lay boards under every container, set it exactly where you ask, and keep the rental tidy.
They start about eight miles east of downtown Detroit along Jefferson, so same-day delivery is normal when you call early. Each of the five is its own city with its own code, and several of them put a day limit on a dumpster even on your own driveway, so tell us which Pointe you are in and we will set the dates to match.

Five cities, five rules. Grosse Pointe Park: zoning Sec. 3.14 allows a roll-off on a residential driveway for a maximum of five days by permission of the Public Services Director, extendable while a building permit is open and progressing, and ten days on non-residential property; a street placement needs a right-of-way permit and a bond under Sec. 38-27, amounts set by the Director. Grosse Pointe Shores: Sec. 40-263 allows a dumpster for up to ten days with a City permit (fee set by council), or for the life of a building permit, on the driveway only and never in the street or a required setback unless the City specifically approves it. Grosse Pointe Woods: Sec. 38-104 requires a Department of Public Services permit before any dumpster or container goes on a street or alley, with a $200 deposit and a fee set by council resolution; a same-day, non-obstructing placement can be permitted free. The City of Grosse Pointe: Sec. 66-40 requires a permit from the building inspector, a cash deposit and an insurance policy before any street is occupied with materials or equipment; the amounts are set by the city manager and inspector rather than published. Grosse Pointe Farms: publishes no dumpster permit; its right-of-way code (7-06) simply bars refuse and structures from any street or sidewalk, with fines up to $500 a day, so containers there go on the driveway (Public Service (313) 885-4285). None of the five publishes a rule against a temporary container on a private driveway beyond the day limits above. Tell us which Pointe you are in and we will set the dates and pull whatever the City asks for.
